Pavesi kennels was established
in 1950 by Stanley Norman and Elsa Park breeding primarily Australian Kelpies
and later Australian Cattle Dogs. The kennel was named after the street in Guildford,
Australia, in which Norm and Elsa lived. Norm and Elsa's oldest son Alan and
his wife Julie, manage the Australian Cattle Dogs for the past 30 years, while
Norm maintained the breeding side of the Kelpies. The love for Australian
Cattle Dogs runs strong in the Park's blood, as Alan and Julie's daughter Melissa,
has established her own kennels which is named Dooncho. Pavesi kennels started
Ophthalmic testing for PRA in 2001, in which seven dogs up to the age of 12
years were tested, all were certified as clear. In 2003 we started Opti gen
DNA testing for PRA and received excellent results.
Pavesi kennels continue to produce quality Australian
Cattle Dogs that are consistent place getters in the show ring, but most importantly
producing sound puppies for loving families.
